Cover Supervisor
Job description
Due to the continued growth and success of our school, we are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our professional and supportive staff team.
This is an important role within the school, providing high-quality classroom supervision when teachers are absent and ensuring that learning continues with minimal disruption. The successful candidate will work across a range of subjects, supervising classes, supporting students to remain focused on their learning and maintaining the high expectations that underpin our school culture.
We are seeking an individual who is confident, adaptable and committed to helping every student achieve their potential. The ability to build positive relationships with young people, demonstrate excellent communication skills and establish a calm and purposeful learning environment is essential.
The successful candidate will:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver lesson materials and instructions provided by teachers.
- Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school's behaviour policy.
- Encourage students to engage fully with learning activities.
- Monitor attendance and report any concerns in line with school procedures.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to support student progress.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
