Job description

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors for a range of full-time and part-time positions in Secondary Schools across Oldham and Rochdale.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, teaching assistants, learning mentors and experienced cover supervisors looking to gain valuable classroom experience within supportive school environments.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on task and focused throughout the school day. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools, building your experience and developing your confidence in managing classrooms across different year groups and subjects.

We are working closely with a number of well-established Secondary Schools throughout Oldham and Rochdale who are seeking dependable Cover Supervisors to support their staffing needs on both a short-term and long-term basis. Opportunities are available immediately and can be tailored to suit your availability, whether you are seeking flexible part-time work or a consistent full-time position.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong classroom management abilities and a genuine passion for supporting young people's learning and development. Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is highly desirable, although candidates with transferable skills from coaching, mentoring, youth work or similar backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
