Cover Supervisor – Full-Time – Northampton

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of their regular teacher. You’ll manage classroom behaviour, ensure tasks are completed, and maintain a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced cover supervisors, or individuals with previous experience working with young people.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
-
Delivering pre-prepared work set by subject teachers
-
Supporting students with their learning and maintaining engagement
-
Reporting back to relevant staff on pupil progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
A genuine interest in working in education
-
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (desirable but not essential)

A flexible and proactive approach to daily challenges
-
An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
