⭐About the Role
Are you confident, organised, and passionate about supporting young people in education?
A warm and supportive secondary school in Newport is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build valuable classroom experience and explore a future career in teaching.
The school’s ethos of “Maximising Potential” shines through in its strong teaching, inclusive curriculum, and nurturing environment. Staff build positive, meaningful relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, valued, and motivated to achieve their best.
The pastoral team operates an open‑door approach, offering support through a learning coach, family engagement officer, resource base, and external agencies. Their focus on stable, supportive relationships helps pupils develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
The ALN team also provides a friendly and well‑structured support system, delivering a wide range of academic, social, and life‑skills interventions. With flexible learning pathways and personalised programmes, pupils of all abilities are able to thrive and make strong progress.
