Cover Supervisor
Location: Monmouthshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £100–£120 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded secondary school in Monmouthshire. This school has a strong focus on sports, so candidates with a background in coaching, playing, or any sporting experience are highly encouraged to apply.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning by overseeing classes during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, engaging students in their learning, and ensuring lessons run smoothly according to provided plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students aged 11–16 and make a real difference in their educational journey.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • A genuine passion for education
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

Teaching Personnel offers comprehensive training during half-term breaks and on-site support to help you succeed in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of a teacher, fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere
  • Promote positive behaviour and active engagement to ensure a productive learning experience
  • Deliver lessons following the teacher’s plans to maintain continuity
  • Participate in outdoor activities and PE lessons

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Ability to provide two recent references
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (provided free by Teaching Personnel if needed)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
