We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to work within a specialist learning centre in Dorset, supporting pupils when teaching staff are absent and helping to maintain continuity, structure, and calm throughout the school day.

  • Deliver pre-prepared learning activities and ensure pupils remain engaged
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and respectful learning environment

  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure consistency

About you
We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident managing groups of young people
  • Can remain calm, fair, and consistent
  • Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships
  • Is adaptable and able to think on their feet
  • Has experience in a similar Cover Supervisor/HLTA/Tutoring position

The setting

  • Small class sizes
  • A strong focus on relationships, wellbeing, and re-engagement with learning
  • A supportive team who value consistency and collaboration
  • An environment where pupils are known as individuals

Why join us?

  • A rewarding role where you can make a real difference
  • Supportive colleagues and a positive team culture
  • Opportunities to develop experience within education and alternative provision

If you are enthusiastic about helping young people stay engaged with learning and thrive in a supportive, structured environment, we would welcome your application.
