Contract: Day-to-Day / Short-Term Supply
Pay: £100–£120 per day (PAYE)

About the Opportunity

Are you confident, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young people? We’re seeking adaptable Cover Supervisors to step into busy secondary classrooms across the Cambridge area, ensuring lessons run smoothly and learning continues in the absence of teaching staff.

This role is ideal for anyone wanting to gain classroom experience, develop behaviour-management skills, or progress towards a future teaching career. You’ll be working within supportive, well-organised school settings that value high expectations and positive relationships.

Your Role

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and supervise classes.
  • Keep students focused, engaged, and on task.
  • Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
  • Adapt confidently across various subjects at KS3 and KS4.
  • Be available for short-notice cover and advance bookings.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience in a school or youth setting (Cover Supervisor, HLTA, TA, Tutor, Mentor, Coach, etc.).
  • Are confident managing groups of secondary-age learners.
  • Stay calm, organised, and positive in the classroom.
  • Are reliable, flexible, and enjoy variety.
  • Can travel to schools in and around Cambridge and Cambridgeshire.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
