Full-Time Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Blackburn, Lancashire)

Contract: Full-time
Start date: Immediate start available

Are you passionate about working with young people and looking to begin or continue a career in education? Teaching Personnel is seeking reliable, confident and motivated Cover Supervisors to support a number of local secondary schools in the Blackburn area.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the teacher
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Support pupils with their learning and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Build strong relationships with students and school teams

This role is ideal for:

  • Teaching Assistants ready for the next step
  • Individuals with youth work, coaching, or mentoring backgrounds

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence leading groups of students aged 11–16
  • A positive, proactive and flexible approach
  • Availability for full-time work
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
