Cover Supervisor - Supply Teacher Opportunity

 

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Start date: Immediate / Flexible

 

An inclusive community school, known for strong pastoral support, a wide extracurricular offer, and a stable history of Good Ofsted ratings, is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team!

 

The Role

You will be responsible for supervising classes of students aged 11-16 years old during teacher absences, ensuring learning continues productively. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and maintain a focused and effective learning environment. This role may also require providing additional support to students with special educational needs.

Your specialist subject will always be kept in mind when being in the school, but openness to general cover across a variety of subjects is also desirable. Short-term and long-term placements may also lead to permanent positions!

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with secondary aged students is desirable
