Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a secondary school based in Ashford. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or further develop their career in education.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged with pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support students in completing assigned work
  • Report back on lesson progress and any issues

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A confident and adaptable approach
  • A genuine interest in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
