The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences and ensure students remain focused on pre-prepared work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Communicating instructions and expectations clearly
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Maintaining a calm, inclusive and purposeful classroom
• Encouraging students to engage with and complete their work
• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required
• Following instructions provided by the class teacher
• Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons
• Acting as a positive and professional role model

You will not usually be responsible for planning lessons or marking work. Your focus will be on providing confident classroom leadership and maintaining continuity of learning.
