Position: Full-time / Part-time available
We are currently recruiting for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support a secondary school in the Abergavenny area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain or expand their experience within education.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher. You will ensure students remain engaged, focused, and complete the work provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across KS3 and KS4
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment
- Support and motivate students to stay on task
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience delivering lessons or leading pre-set classes
- Have previously worked in mentoring, coaching, youth work, or similar roles (not necessarily within education)
- Are confident managing groups of young people
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Are reliable, proactive, and adaptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
