Computer Science Teacher – Tameside

September 2021

A computer science teacher is needed in September at a local village school in the Tameside area. Currently needed to start from September, you will be teaching a KS3-KS4 class about computing/computer science lessons and ICT. This large school has approximately 1350 students on roll is a brilliant option Computer science teacher.

This school is known for the importance of equipping students with the experiences and values of behaviours which enable them to take place and become a successful, active and confident member of society. You will be given the opportunity through the school to be offered a permanent contract, you will be employed though teaching personnel for the first 20 weeks. Then potentially offered a contract based on initial performance.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Delivering high quality computing lessons, being able to implement effective strategies and methods to allow all children to thrive within the subject.
  • Understanding and being able to conquer issues related to children not wanting to engage with the subject, and being able to think independently about how to best cater for these children to allow them to gain satisfaction from the subject.
  • Being able to work as part of a team, working with pupils on both a group and individual basis.
  • Monitoring attendance, preparing students for exams and ensuring that the equipment for lessons is efficiently maintained and organised.
  • Pay -between MPS1-MPS6 (Approx. GBP24,373 - GBP40,490) based on prior experience.

All Computer Science teachers available for full time, long term work from the start of September are encouraged to apply now. You will need to have QTS, experience teaching in a UK secondary school, school based references and an application for a fully enhanced DBS certificate to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
