Job Advert: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable secondary school in the Tameside area. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and supporting students in their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students.
- Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or additional learning needs, ensuring their inclusion and progress within the classroom.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to plan and implement effective strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
- Support students in their personal, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to both students and teachers, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour management techniques, encouraging students to take responsibility for
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of relevant educational policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with students, teachers, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to professional development, keeping up-to-date with current educational practices and trends.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
