Computer Science Teacher- Secondary School- B36, Birmingham- January 2026

We are working in collaboration with a supportive and thriving mainstream secondary school based in B36, Birmingham to appoint a computer science teacher on a full time basis.

 

Important Information

Hours: Full time, Mon-Fri (term time only, 08:30-15:30)

Rate of pay: To scale

Location: Birmingham, B36

Start date: January 2026

 

Ideal Person Specification: 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

PGCE

Bachelors degree in ICT/Computer Science

Proven track record teaching computer science in a UK secondary school

Strong behaviour management skills and excellent classroom presence

Excellent subject and curriculum based knowledge

 

Job Requirements:

Plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons to a range of year groups and abilities

Differentiate planning to suit the individual needs of learners within each class

Regularly assess the progress of pupils through formative and summative assesment

Provide useful feedback to pupils to help support them with their learning

Collaborate with colleagues within the department and wider school community to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Foster a commitment to safeguarding principles, following schools policies at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
