Part-Time SEN Class Teacher – Frome

Shape Futures Through Specialist Education

(MPS plus SEN Allowance - Pro rata pay for Part-time role)

A vibrant specialist provision in Frome is searching for a committed and innovative SEN Class Teacher to join their team on a 2 day timetable from September 2026.

This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive environment dedicated to pupils aged 4 to 19 with profound, severe and complex learning difficulties.

The school is widely recognised for its child-centred ethos, inclusive values and strong sense of community.

Every pupil is encouraged to achieve personal success through carefully adapted teaching, therapeutic support and creative learning experiences.

Staff are empowered to bring fresh ideas into the classroom and are supported by experienced leaders who value professional growth.

As part of this role, you will deliver engaging and personalised lessons that reflect the individual needs and EHCP outcomes of each learner.

You will work closely with support staff, therapists and families to create meaningful opportunities that encourage communication, independence and emotional development.

Mainstream teachers with a passion for SEN are warmly encouraged to apply, alongside experienced specialist practitioners.

• Assess and monitor pupil development effectively

• Lead classroom support teams confidently and collaboratively

• Contribute to annual reviews and personalised target setting

• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
