Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Oldham | September Start | Full-Time

Empower. Support. Inspire.

Every child deserves the chance to thrive. Could you be the person who helps make that happen?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Oldham this September. This is more than just a job. It's an opportunity to positively impact the lives of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

If you're compassionate, resilient, and passionate about supporting others, we'd love to hear from you.

Why This Role Matters

For the pupils at this specialist provision, progress isn't always measured by exam results. Sometimes it's finding the confidence to communicate, building a friendship, managing emotions, or achieving a milestone that once seemed impossible.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital part in those moments.

You'll provide the patience, encouragement, and support that helps young people overcome barriers and celebrate success, no matter how big or small.

About the School

The school is committed to:

✨ Encouraging every pupil to achieve their personal best

✨ Developing independence and confidence

✨ Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

✨ Preparing young people for successful futures

You'll become part of a collaborative team of teachers, therapists, and support professionals, all working together to transform lives every day.

Your Role

✅ Help pupils access learning in a way that works for them

✅ Support communication using PECS, AAC systems, and visual strategies
