Job description

Start: ASAP
Contract: Ongoing, with potential to become permanent
Class Size: 8 pupils
Essential: QTS, Primary experience, Autism experience

We’re looking for a genuinely brilliant Class Teacher to take on an EYFS/Year 1 class within a small, specialist Autism provision. This is a class of just 8 pupils, all of whom thrive on structure, creativity and consistency — so we need someone who brings calm, confidence and a real passion for early learning.

The Role

You’ll be leading a mixed EYFS/Y1 group with a strong focus on communication, nurturing routines and tailored learning. The team around you is warm, experienced and very collaborative, so you’ll never be left to figure things out alone. The school puts a big emphasis on relationships, wellbeing and practical progress rather than rigid box‑ticking.

What We’re After

We’re not just trying to fill a vacancy — we’re trying to find the right person. Someone reliable, enthusiastic and genuinely committed to SEN and early years.

You’ll need:

  • QTS (essential)
  • Solid Primary experience, ideally across EYFS/KS1
  • Confident experience working with autistic pupils
  • A calm, patient and creative approach
  • The ability to plan and adapt quickly when needed

Why This Role?

  • Immediate start
  • Ongoing long‑term role with the option to go permanent if you love it
  • Small class and strong support network
  • A chance to make a real difference every single day
  • A leadership team that actually values its staff

If you’re someone who brings energy, commitment and heart to your work — and you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact — we’d love to speak with you.

Apply today and let’s chat about whether this could be the right fit.
