Teacher of Chemistry – Secondary School (Clitheroe, Lancashire)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Fixed-term (until December 2026)
Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire
We are working in partnership with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Chemistry for a fixed-term role from September 2026 through to December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking Science department within a school that values high-quality teaching and student progress.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum
- Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider Science team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Chemistry or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for science education
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
