Chemistry Teacher – Cover Role
Location: Bath, Somerset
Contract: Cover role (with potential for a long-term placement)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
A welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Bath is seeking a committed and adaptable Chemistry Teacher to join their Science department on a cover basis, starting as soon as possible.
This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who is available immediately and open to a role that has the potential to develop into a long-term placement for the right candidate.
The Role
- Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available for suitable candidates)
- Delivering engaging, well-structured lessons as part of an established cover arrangement
- Supporting pupils to make strong academic progress
- Maintaining a positive and safe learning environment
- Working collaboratively within the wider Science department
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
- Specialism in Chemistry (or strong Chemistry subject knowledge)
- Confident and flexible, with the ability to step into a cover role effectively
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passionate about Science education and student achievement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
