Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant – Treorchy (CF42)
Location: Treorchy, CF42
Pay: £13.75 per hour

We’re looking for a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Treorchy, working with KS3 & KS4 pupils who need extra support to thrive. This is your chance to make a lasting difference — helping students overcome barriers, build confidence, and re-engage with learning.
Interviews via Microsoft Teams – taking place over the next two weeks.
What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs.

Build trust and strong relationships to help students manage emotions.
-
Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
-
Assist with schoolwork and keep students on track.
-
Work closely with teachers to implement tailored support strategies.
-
Safeguard student wellbeing and ensure a safe, structured environment.
What We’re Looking For
-
Minimum 5 GCSEs (including core subjects).
-
Patience, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
-
Experience in education, youth work, or care (desirable, not essential).

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

EWC registration (we can help you with this!).
