       Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join one of Alternative Provision schools in Lancing. You will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, ensuring their academic and social success within the classroom environment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

       Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.

       Provide one-on-one or small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

       Act as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy, patience and respect in all interactions.

       Assist in the supervision of student during classroom activities, transitions and recess periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

       Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviours and redirect inappropriate behaviours effectively.

About you:

       Be passionate about child-centred learning

       Have excellent and organisational and communication skills

       Be able to make a positive contribution to the ethos of the school

       Preferably have experience of working with young people

       Committed, enthusiastic and a positive attitude.

Key Points:

       Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

       Term time only

       Temp to Perm (Permanent available)

       Child Only Enhanced DBS (Apply through Teaching Personnel)

       £400 - £450 per week with potential pay increases

       SEN Experience

       Full support and ongoing training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
