Join Our Science Department

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational Biology Teacher to join the Science department of a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Poole, Dorset 

This is an exciting opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher looking to join a supportive school community where staff are encouraged to develop professionally and make a real difference to students' lives.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to develop a passion for Science and an understanding of the world around them.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and Science department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and best practice.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and personal development.

We Would Love to Hear From Teachers Who Are:

  • Passionate about Science and committed to helping young people succeed.
  • An excellent communicator with strong classroom management skills.
  • Able to inspire, motivate and engage secondary-aged students.
  • Committed to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • A qualified teacher, or currently completing teacher training as an ECT.
  • Keen to contribute to the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
