Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Monmouthshire
Start Date: 12th January 2026
Pay: From £82.50
Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? Teaching Personnel are seeking a motivated and compassionate individuals to work as a Teaching Assistant in a supportive secondary school environment in Monmouthshire. This role focuses on providing 1:1 support for a student with challenging behaviour, helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

- Support roles (care work, youth work, mentoring, coaching)
- Working with children or young people in any setting
- Sports coaching, community work, or customer service

What You’ll Do:
- Build positive relationships with pupils aged 11–16, offering guidance and emotional support.
- Use sports and physical activities—football, rugby, basketball, tennis, gym sessions—to engage and motivate students.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and encourage positive choices.
- Monitor progress and collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).
- EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
- Ability to provide two recent references and right to work in the UK.
- Safeguarding Level 2 (free training provided by Teaching Personnel).
Teaching Personnel will support you every step of the way with compliance and training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
