Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you enjoy active, hands-on work and building positive relationships? Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic Behaviour Support Mentors to work within Pupil Referral Units and other ALN Provisions.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and physical role, ideal for someone who thrives on variety. Your day may include:

Leading or supporting sports, outdoor learning and movement-based interventions
-
Engaging pupils through creative, practical and team-building activities
-
Providing classroom-based support, helping pupils regulate emotions and remain engaged in learning
-
Working 1:1 or with small groups to encourage positive behaviour, resilience and well-being
We are looking for individuals who can be proactive, calm, and confident when supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour.

Requirements
We would love to hear from you if you have:

Experience working with children, young people, or within a behavioural/SEN environment
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g., youth work, sports coaching, psychology, education or similar) – desirable but not essential

A full UK driving licence, as you may be required to travel between settings
-
A willingness or desire to speak Welsh, as bilingual skills are highly valued in many schools
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with pupils
-
An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries
-
A positive, resilient and patient approach
All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable referencing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
