Behaviour Support Assistant
Location:
Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS15
Job Type:
Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£85 - £100 Per day
Job Duties:
- Provide support to children with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the teaching staff
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to help pupils develop positive behaviour patterns
- Observe and record pupil behaviour to provide feedback to teaching staff
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to create individualised behaviour plans
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic understanding of behaviour management techniques
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
- Ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certification in behaviour management or teaching assistance
- Experience working with special educational needs students
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily in a school environment
- May involve dealing with challenging behaviour and emotional situations
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
