Psychology Graduate – Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Guildford
Settings: Specialist Primary and Secondary Schools
⏰ Hours: Full-time (Term-time only)
Are you a Psychology graduate passionate about mental health, behaviour, and making a real difference?
We are recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in Surrey, supporting children with additional needs in inclusive and specialist settings.
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN & SEMH needs

Support children with ASD, ADHD, trauma-related behaviours, and emotional regulation
-
Help pupils manage behaviour and emotions using positive behaviour strategies
-
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
-
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
About You
We’re looking for someone who:

Holds a Psychology degree (or closely related subject)
-
Has a genuine interest in child development, SEN, and mental health
-
Is patient, resilient, and empathetic
-
Communicates confidently with children and adults
-
Has experience with children or young people (helpful but not essential!)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
