Behaviour Mentor – Secondary PRU Setting
Location:Tameside
Salary: £89 – £110 per day
Contract Type:Full-Time, Long-Term

Teaching Personnel is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)in Tamesidethat is seeking a Behaviour Mentorto support pupils aged 11–16 from September 2025.
Role Responsibilities:

Work 1:1 or in small groups with students presenting challenging behaviour
-
Support pupils to manage emotions and make positive behaviour choices
-
Encourage engagement with learning and build positive relationships
-
Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to promote success
The School:

Collaborative, experienced team with excellent support systems
Ideal Candidate:
-
Background in youth work, SEMH, SEN, mentoring, care or support work
-
Resilient, empathetic, and able to maintain firm but fair boundaries
-
Confident managing complex behaviours in a safe and structured way

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
