Teaching Personnel is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)in Tamesidethat is seeking a Behaviour Mentorto support pupils aged 11–16 from September 2025.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with students presenting challenging behaviour

• Support pupils to manage emotions and make positive behaviour choices

• Encourage engagement with learning and build positive relationships

• Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to promote success

The School:

• A specialist setting for students unable to access mainstream education

• Strong emphasis on nurture, respect, and personalised support

• Collaborative, experienced team with excellent support systems

Ideal Candidate:

• Background in youth work, SEMH, SEN, mentoring, care or support work

• Resilient, empathetic, and able to maintain firm but fair boundaries

• Confident managing complex behaviours in a safe and structured way

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
