Teaching personnel is looking for a Full-time Classroom Behaviour Base Assistant to join a local schools in Cardiff & Vale. We are looking for an adaptable and proactive individual who may have previous experience, either through personal, and/or professional work with children with Additional Learning Needs and behaviours.

This can also include behavioural difficulties and social, emotional mental health challenges on a 1-to-1 capacity with pupils who need support in these areas.

These schools are a large English medium Secondary schools that all have a specific ASD units. You will need to support different pupils within the lessons and in small intervention groups within the unit, you would be required to help with sessions and activities. The pupils daily plan can be very sporadic, so someone who is able to adapt to the changing environment is key.

 

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS (Child Only) & Educational Work Force Council checks must be completed before the role will commence. (Teaching Personnel can help throughout the whole registering process!)
  • Experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and a Pro-Active approach needed. 

  • Have a passion for impacting the educational system.

  • Able to work Full and Part-time hours per week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
