Behaviour and Inclusion support worker role in Wakefield (WF6). Full-time & permanent 

A mainstream Primary school in Wakefield are currently seeking to employ a full-time / permanent Behaviour & Inclusion Support worker to work with pupils across the primary age range (predominantly in Key Stage 2) on a 1-2-1 basis who are on Individual Behaviour Plans.

The school are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as Sept/Oct and who also has previous experience in a similar role in an educational based environment. This MUST be evidenced in your CV when you apply.

This is a two form entry Primary school and reliable public transport routes to and from the school. The school is an Ofsted 'IMPROVING' school and are on their way to achieve GOOD with OUTSTANDING over the next 24-48 months. The school pride themselves on their strong and long standing staff base and their 'ALWAYS IMPROVING' attitude to teaching, learning and child development. 

About Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel exclusively offer CPD and key skill courses to our candidates at Leeds Trinity University in order for candidates to up skill their professional skills within the primary teaching sector. To name a few Leeds Trinity offer; Literacy and Mathematical Development across the Curriculum, Planning and questioning for progression, Early Reading and Phonics, Teaching for Learning, Differentiation and Effective Behaviour management!

  • Candidates must be available full-time and school hours from 830 - 330
  • Candidates must have a positive attitude and have the required behaviour support experience with primary school aged children
  • Candidates need to be confident when working with children with behavioural issues and abilities. This includes planning for differentiation and preparation for one-to-one support
  • Candidates need to be open to trial at the school for a full day and must be punctual at all times
  • Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and additional training
  • Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually and must be proactive when supporting and teaching pupils
  • Candidate must have the Team Teach qualification (or equivalent) or, be open to completing the training through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
