We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism school, supporting pupils with a range of strengths and needs. The Role:
- Provide classroom support to pupils with Autism on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, personalised learning activities.
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.
- Encourage independence and the development of life skills.
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to help pupils feel safe and successful.
- Build trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and personal growth.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support individual learning plans.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children, young people, or adults with Autism
- A patient, calm, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil.
- Resilience, creativity, and a positive attitude towards supporting young people with additional needs.
- A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
