A Primary school we work closely with in Leeds are looking for an Autism Support assistant to work alongside a child in Year 2 on a one to one basis, ideally starting as soon as possible. Candidates applying for this role must have experience supporting children on a 1-2-1 basis previously and must be available full-time from Monday to Friday during term time.
The Head teacher is looking for someone who can understand the needs of the child and support their learning. This role would be starting full time and they wish to meet someone as soon as possible for an interview. The successful candidate will be working full time hours 8am-4pm offering up to £80 per day depending on experience.
The Role
A successful candidate will have the right attitude alongside some experience in order to meet the demands of the role supporting a child in Year 2 with severe Autism and Challenging behaviour.
You must be committed to building a trusting relationship with the pupils, so you can successfully encourage them to participate in learning. The school welcomes those who have experience working in SEN schools, with a pro-active and engaging personality.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
