Autism Specialist – Primary School (Full-Time)

£88.93–£95 per day

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist to work full-time in a welcoming primary school located in Littlehampton. You will be supporting a child with autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage, progress, and build confidence within the classroom.
What the role involves:
- Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with autism
- Helping to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Implementing personalised strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children with autism or additional needs (school or care setting)
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine desire to make a positive difference
- Availability for a full-time role (Monday–Friday, school hours)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
