Autism Specialist – Primary School (Full-Time)
Littlehampton
£88.93–£95 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you have the patience, positivity, and commitment to help a young learner thrive?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist to work full-time in a welcoming primary school located in Littlehampton. You will be supporting a child with autism on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage, progress, and build confidence within the classroom.

What the role involves:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with autism
  • Helping to create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Implementing personalised strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
  • Working closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children with autism or additional needs (school or care setting)
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine desire to make a positive difference
  • Availability for a full-time role (Monday–Friday, school hours)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
