Job description


Teaching Personnel are looking for an ASD Teacher for a school based in Bournemouth.

The school caters for children aged between 3 and 19 years of age, with children on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD), Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). 

The classroom sizes are small with around 6-8 pupils.

This is a long term Teacher post to start in January 2020.

If you have the following then this school could be perfect for you: -

  • Experience teaching children with ASD, PMLD and SLD.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Be able to prepare and teach effective lessons, taking into account the individual needs of the students

As a Special Needs Teacher, you will be working with a range of students with SEN, Complex Needs and challenging behaviour so you will need to be able to understanding, patient and able to build a strong relationships with the students in order to help them excel. The successful Special Needs Teacher needs to be able to teach core subjects at various levels as students' abilities will vary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
