Role: Art Teacher

Location: Solihull

Start date: ASAP/September 2026

Rate of pay: To Scale MPS/UPS

 

Are you a passionate and creative art teacher excited to inspire stduents to expore their creativitity? We are seeking a passionate and imaginative Art Teacher who can support students at a local Solihull secondary school to develop their artistic voice, and engage confidently with a wide range of artistic media.

 

The role of the art teacher will include:

- planning and delivering dynamic lessons that nurture creativity across multiple disciplines, such as painting, digital media, free drawing

- encouraging students to develop their personal artistic style and allow them the space to express themselves freely and creatively

- using innovative teaching strategies to engage all learners of differing abilities- ensuring all pupils feel included within the lesson

- regularly assessing pupils' work and their progress, providing informative feedback to support their learning and development

- supporting students with the run up to their exams, ensuring they are fully equipped to succeed

 

You will play a key role in cultivating a vibrant arts culture within the school, empowering students to think creatively, solve problems, and express themselves with confidence.

 

The ideal applicant will:

- hold a UK QTS for Art & Design

- have a bachelors degree in Art or a creative based subject

- be a confident artist and able to support students with all aspects of their art work

- have recent experience delivering Art lessons in a UK secondary school

- have a strong proven track record and be a confident teacher of Art, ready to succeed in this new role

- have excellent communication skills and be able to work in collaboration with other teachers and staff in a positive way

- adopt a creative and innnovative style of teaching

- remain a commitment to safeguarding at all times, always following the schools policies and procedures
