Art & Design Teacher required- Full time role- B92, Solihull- Mainstream secondary school- April 2026 start
Teaching Personnel are working to support a secondary schools recruitment of a full time Art & Design teacher to join their creative and forward-thinking Art department.
You will be joining a thriving and successful Art department to support the teaching of Years 7-11 and A-Level classes, after the Easter break.
What does the role entail:
- Full planning and delivery of Art lessons that encourage all pupils to express themselves creatively and freely
- To fill students with confidence through their Art work
- To assess pupils progress through marking and providing constructive feedback to help them improve in the best way
- To manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure all students remain on task at all times
- Support students with special educational needs and give them the opportunity to reach their potential
- To communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive working relationships with students, colleagues and parents alike
Our ideal applicant will:
- Hold a UK QTS in Art and Design and have recent, relevant experience teaching Art in UK secondary schools
- Have excellent school-based references
- Have fantastic organisational skills and will be able to manage own workload effectively
- Create a positive, inclusive learning enviornment where all pupils' feel comfortable to express themselves freely within a safe space
- Remain committed to safeguarding and will uphold schools' policies, procedures and best practices at all times
- Be confident to deliver engaging Art lessons to a range of year groups and abilities
- Confidently support GCSE and A-Level classes with their exam preparation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
