Job description
Job Purpose
To inspire creativity and self-expression through high-quality Art and Design teaching, enabling students to develop technical skills, critical understanding, and confidence in their artistic abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
-
Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons that encourage experimentation, creativity, and independent thinking.

Teach a wide range of artistic techniques, media, and processes in line with curriculum and exam board requirements.

Support students in developing strong portfolios and coursework for GCSE and A Level assessment.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring studio environment that promotes creativity and risk-taking.
Assessment and Progress

Assess student work accurately and consistently, providing clear, constructive feedback.

Track progress and attainment to inform planning and targeted support.

Prepare students for moderation, coursework submission, and examination requirements.
Curriculum and Enrichment

Contribute to curriculum development and the review of schemes of work.

Organise displays, exhibitions, and enrichment activities that celebrate student work.

Support or lead extracurricular art clubs, workshops, or trips.
Professional Responsibilities

Maintain resources, materials, and equipment safely and effectively.

Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider school community.

Uphold safeguarding and health and safety requirements at all times.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
