The Head Teacher at an over subscribed 11-16 Academy is seeking an Art and Design Teacher on a full time basis from September 2019 or earlier.

  • Full time Art and Design Teacher required for a Boston Academy
  • Starting September 2019 or earlier
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Art and Design
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23, 720 - £39, 406

This recently converted academy has approximately 750 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with state of the art facilities and resources on site. The department and the staff team have continued working hard towards pupils progressing across Key Stages 3 and 4.

As a very popular subject area there is an increased demand for the subject particularly at GCSE and so the incoming Art and Design Teacher will be required to deliver inventive lessons which activate pupil Imagination. The responsibilities will be as follows but may not be limited to;

  • Plan, prepare and monitor class work reporting back to Senior Leadership accordingly.
  • Experience working with the Art and Design curriculum at Key Stage 3-4 essential and any additional experience will be highly beneficial.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to the school behaviour policies.
  • Promote a growth mind set amongst all young people in order to raise attainment.

Located less than a few miles away from the Boston City Centre, the Academy is perfectly situated to be accessible for those living in Sleaford, Spalding, Bourne, Lincoln, Louth and of course areas in between.
