This is a fantastic opportunity to gain paid, practical experience working in Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings throughout the summer term.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and proactive Academic Support Graduates to join our partner SEN schools. In this role, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and build meaningful progress in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small‑group academic and pastoral support.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils with communication, sensory needs, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
  • Help create a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
  • Contribute to pupils’ independence, routines, and confidence.

We’re Looking For

  • A recent graduate (any discipline welcome; psychology, education, health, or social sciences particularly advantageous).
  • Someone patient, enthusiastic, and resilient.
  • A genuine interest in SEN, child development, or therapeutic approaches.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience with children or vulnerable adults is helpful but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
