Position: 1:1 Tutor
Hours: Flexible (part-time/Monday to Friday)
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutor to support a learner in the CH41, Birkenhead area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact by delivering personalised education tailored to the student's individual needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their learning goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalised one-to-one tuition.
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet the learner's individual needs and abilities.
- Build a positive, supportive relationship with the student.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and student development.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience tutoring, teaching, or supporting children or young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate learners.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or relevant teaching/tutoring qualification.
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or those educated outside of mainstream settings.
- Experience preparing students for GCSEs, Functional Skills, or other qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
