Location:BS8 area, Bristol

Start date: January

Hours:11:30 - 5:30, Monday to Friday

Pay: From £90 per day, paid weekly

Contract: Full Time 

A lovely, inclusive preschool setting in the BS8 area of Bristol is looking for a 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a rewarding role working closely with a child with special educational needs in a warm, nurturing environment. The setting has a supportive team who will guide you and help you develop in the role.

The role:

- Provide dedicated 1-1 support to a child with SEN throughout the day
- Support learning through play, communication and early development activities
- Help the child engage with their peers and build social skills
- Encourage positive behaviour and create a calm, supportive environment
- Work closely with the class team and any external professionals involved in the child's care
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns promptly

Who this role would suit:

We are keen to hear from people with experience in child focused roles such as:

- Nursery or preschool assistant
- After school club or holiday camp leader
- Sports coaching for children or youth teams
- Swimming instructor, dance teacher or drama leader for children
- Youth group leader, scout or guide volunteer or similar roles
- Support worker or carer for children with additional needs

These backgrounds show you can build strong relationships, communicate clearly, stay patient under pressure and adapt to individual needs.The ideal candidate will be:

- Passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic with strong people skills
- Reliable, calm and happy to work closely with one child throughout the day
- Confident supporting children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
