1:1 Teaching Assistant – KS1 | Verwood

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Verwood is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This rewarding role will involve supporting a pupil within Key Stage 1, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing classroom environment. The Role:

• Full-time position, 5 days per week
• Starting September
• Working on a 1:1 basis with a KS1 pupil
• Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
• Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for the pupil to thrive

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Be patient, caring, and understanding
• Have experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEND setting
• Build strong and positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Be adaptable and able to respond to individual learning needs
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be passionate about making a difference to a child's educational journey
