Join Our Team – 1:1 General Tutor Wanted!

Are you a patient, encouraging tutor with a passion for helping others thrive? We’re looking for a friendly and committed 1:1 General Tutor to provide tailored, individual support to learners who need a bit of extra help to achieve their goals.

Location: Nottingham (NG16 and surrounding areas)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions, adapted to each learner’s needs

  • Supporting learners in core subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science, or other curriculum areas as required)

  • Creating and following individual learning plans

  • Tracking progress and providing regular feedback

  • Encouraging motivation, independence, and a love of learning

  • Maintaining accurate records in line with safeguarding and organisational procedures

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching

  • A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach

  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more core curriculum areas

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A recognised teaching or tutoring qualification

  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners from all backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
