Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Location: Sidmouth, Devon

Contract: Flexible working

Salary: £85-£100

Teaching Personnel are looking on behalf of a head teacher at a nurturing and local primary school in Sidmouth.

Your Role:

• Support pupils in Year 6 with their learning across core subjects, especially English and Maths
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to boost confidence and attainment
• Assist the class teacher in planning, preparation, and assessment
• Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and a love of learning

What we are looking for:

• Experience supporting upper Key Stage 2
• Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
• An up-to-date DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
