A Primary School in Preston have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a Y6 teacher to start a full time, long term role starting after the May half term. Please read the following specification and do not hesitate to contact me on the details below the advert…

The School:

The school is located in a ‘challenging’ Preston catchment area, with the majority of children arriving in school from disadvantaged backgrounds. The majority of these children are from Indian and Pakistani backgrounds and in some cases they struggle with language development. The school is a larger than average Primary with 3 classes per year group. The Head teacher is a well driven and committed leader who ensures all staff in school are well supported and led to raising standards in the classroom.

The role:

The role is to commence in September 2023 and will continue until at least January 2024. The expectation is that the successful practitioner will take up the role on a full time basis and be expected to plan, deliver and assess the KS2 Curriculum tailored towards the Y6 SATs. There will also be the added responsibility of; parents evening; class reports; homework clubs.

Ideally the Head teacher is looking for a qualified and experienced class teacher who has recently had KS2 experience and is confident in delivering up to the end of year SATs. If you have qualified teacher status and a proven track record of raising attainment amongst KS2 children, then please do not hesitate to contact me in the office.

Currently Teaching Personnel are offering a recommendation incentive- We are currently offering £50 to each recommended teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
