Salary: M1 – M6 (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are excited to welcome a passionate and committed Year 6 Teacher to our team starting September 2026 for the full academic year. As our Year 6 Teacher, you will be at the heart of preparing pupils for their SATs, creating a vibrant, supportive, and structured classroom where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the Year 6 curriculum
  • Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Prepare pupils effectively for SATs, tracking progress and addressing gaps in learning
  • Establish and maintain high expectations for behaviour using positive and proactive strategies
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment
  • Show a proactive and positive approach to behaviour management
  • Be skilled in thoughtful, well-paced lesson planning
  • Be committed to supporting pupils both academically and pastorally
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills

Safeguarding & Recruitment Process:
This role is subject to full vetting checks through Teaching Personnel, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a formal interview process, which will include a lesson observation at the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
