Year 6 Primary Teacher – Full Time – BH15 – Starting After Easter

The Role – Full Class Teacher Responsibilities

This is a full-time Year 6 class teacher position, starting after the Easter holidays.

You will take on full teaching responsibilities, including:

  • Long and medium-term planning in line with the KS2 curriculum

  • Delivering engaging, structured lessons that prepare pupils for SATs

  • Marking and assessment in line with school policy

  • Tracking pupil progress and implementing targeted interventions

  • Attending staff meetings, phase meetings and CPD sessions

  • Contributing to the wider school community

  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers

A strong understanding of SATs preparation, assessment frameworks and end-of-KS2 expectations is essential.

 The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

  • Have recent experience teaching in KS2 (Year 6 experience highly desirable)

  • Be confident with full planning, marking and data tracking

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills

  • Be organised, resilient and adaptable

  • Have high expectations for both achievement and behaviour

  • Be passionate about supporting pupils in their final year of primary school
