Year 4 Teacher – Primary School in Leigh
Start Date:  Full-Time

A vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Leigh is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Teacher to join their dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Key Stage 2 practitioner who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and building strong foundations as pupils move through lower KS2.

The Role:

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum. You will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, well-sequenced lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Use formative and summative assessment effectively to drive progress
  • Support pupils in developing independence, resilience and confidence
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and presentation
  • Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and higher-attaining pupils
  • Work collaboratively with year group partners and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly in Maths and English
  • A secure understanding of assessment and progress tracking
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching
