Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time

Location: Bournemouth, BH10
Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bournemouth, seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher. This is a full-time position, working 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting in September.

The Role

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality learning experiences and supporting pupils through their final year of primary education. Your duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons for Year 6 pupils
  • Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage assessments (SATs)
  • Tracking, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where all pupils feel supported and challenged
  • Working closely with colleagues across the school to share ideas and best practice
  • Contributing to school life and attending relevant meetings and training

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a confident and committed teacher who can bring energy and structure to the classroom. You will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A clear understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment expectations
  • The ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning
