Welsh-Speaking Nursery Teaching Assistant Wanted – Pontypridd!
Location: Pontypridd
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £89 – £100 per day (paid weekly)
Start Date: January

Are you a friendly, confident Welsh speaker who enjoys helping little learners flourish? Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and proactive Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive Welsh-medium nursery setting in the Pontypridd area this January.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work with children aged 3–4 as they begin their early learning journey through the medium of Welsh, helping them play, explore, and grow in a nurturing environment.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting the Nursery Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and fun Welsh-medium learning environment

  • Delivering one-to-one and small group support in Welsh

  • Assisting with play-based activities that support early development

  • Helping with personal care routines when needed

  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and social skills

  • Supporting children during both indoor and outdoor learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written)

  • A warm, patient, and enthusiastic attitude

  • A proactive, hands-on approach to supporting young children

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Experience working with nursery-aged children (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
